About 15 minutes from the Las Vegas “Strip”, in the city of Henderson , visitors can find Chocolate Factory and Cactus Gardens , which attracts more than 700,000 tourists a year. The process required to make a piece of commercial chocolate candy is explained and demonstrated while guests savor that delicious chocolate morsels in air conditioned comfort.
Over 35,000 gallons of chocolate are used for the demonstrations and workers are latched on to belts so that they do not fall into the chocolate tanks. After eating the high-calorie sumptuous delicacies, it may be a good idea to walk through the Botanical Cactus Garden which features three acres of various types of cacti including Texas Prickly Pear, Spotted Aloe, Teddy Bear Cholla, etc.
