Hiking in the desert out of Las Vegas is a real treat. However, be warned don’t’ try hiking here in Summer, temperatures reach sizzling point and it can be very dangerous.
The ideal hiking times is from November through to March. This writer hiked in December ankle deep in snow, so you can never be sure what you are going to get, one thing for certain is that it is beautiful countryside to walk through.
Two great areas to hike through are the popular Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire State Park
