Valley of fire Skate Park is located about 55 miles from Las Vegas. This is Nevada 's oldest and biggest state park. The sandstone formations and red rock found in this area gave the park its name. Visitors to this park usually go on long hikes or climb the mountains.
For families, there are picnic areas and rest rooms. Make sure that the children and adults who are sensitive to the sun have enough sun screen lathered on the exposed parts of their bodies.
Also try to wear sun visors or hats to keep the sun from damaging the eyes. Good shoes are necessary for hiking and climbing so as to avoid accidents.
